Job summary

Navy Region Naval District Washington Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a Teen Coordinator to administer CYP teen activities under the Youth Director with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes development of age-appropriate programs, safety, outreach, and collaboration with other installations to engage teens and families.

The incumbent will supervise staff, provide program oversight, and ensure compliance with DoD regulations, while coordinating with families and community partners

Qualifications

• Combination of 3 years experience in developmentally appropriate programming and credentials OR education plus full-time experience with children/youth.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate programs for 13–18 year olds.
• Knowledge of child and youth development principles and programming.
• Ability to lead, supervise and interact with youth and teens.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise teen programs that promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
• Organize special events, trips, dances, and family activities.
• Collaborate with other installations to plan regional teen activities.
• Supervise staff and volunteers and ensure compliance with DoD CY policies.
