Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of The Valley is seeking a Part-Time Teen Specialist in Phoenix to develop programs and supervise youth in a safe, engaging Club environment.

The role focuses on program planning, collaboration with schools, and outreach to promote teen participation and outcomes. Requires 21+ with HS diploma, CPR/First Aid, and AZ driver’s license; evening/ weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and 6 youth development or related experience.
• Must obtain/ maintain a current CPR & First Aid certification (within first 90 days of employment).
• Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of staff, members, volunteers, facility, and Club assets.
• Support annual recruitment, member retention, and attendance goals.
• Support collaborative relationships with community partners, Middle Schools and High Schools.
• Open and close the Club; provide direct supervision during operating hours.
• Lead planning, development, and evaluation of Club programs and services to meet priority outcomes and member needs.
• Promote member interest and participation in Club-wide programs, including Middle School pathways for teen involvement.
• Track teen attendance and participation data.
• Maintain productive working relationships with parents, organization staff and management.
• Foster a supportive environment for members and develop a Club culture that ensures physical and emotional safety.
