Job summary

Champaign County Library is seeking a Part-time Teen Programming Page to assist with after-school and summer teen activities. You will support the Teen Librarian, supervise teen spaces, and help engage youth in crafts, games, and tech projects.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about teens, with strong customer service and teamwork. The role may involve daytime, evening, and weekend shifts at the Champaign Library locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with teens is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Spanish and/or French is helpful.
• Any combination of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teen Librarian with after-school activities for middle/high school students and summer activities for younger teens and school-age children.
• Engage teens in crafts, games, and technology activities.
• Assist with training of staff and volunteers.
• Monitor and address behavior to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and support library programs.
