Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Part-Time Teen Advisor for the La Central YMCA. The role focuses on supervision and leadership of teen services and programs, including Teen Center, Rowe Scholars, Leaders Club, and Saturday Night Lights.

You will advertise, recruit participants, and ensure proper documentation and reporting to meet program goals. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, maintaining program data, and building positive relationships with teens and families while

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Mandated Reporter Training within 30 days of hire.
Minimum of one year of experience with teens (ages 13+).

Responsibilities

Ensure health, safety, and well-being of participants with close supervision and clean spaces.
Plan, create, and facilitate lesson plans for teen programs.
Manage data entry and coordinate participant paperwork; report to City agencies and YMCA standards.
Lead with respect and empathy, managing adolescent behavior.
Develop relationships with teens and families and promote SEL and skills development.
Participate in meetings, trainings, and events; adhere to standards and regulations.
