Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake are seeking a Youth Development Professional to lead engaging activities for teens ages 13-18, supporting academic success, character, and healthy lifestyles. This role emphasizes safe, supervised programs and positive relationships in a busy after-school setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, MVR, and drug screening.
• 21+ years old and able to drive 15-passenger vans.
• Ability to work in high-energy, loud environments with youth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily group activities with youth ages 13-18.
• Transport youth in Club vehicles (school pick-ups, field trips, etc.).
• Ensure engagement and promote consistent attendance of youth enrolled in activities.
• Establish rapport with youth and provide mentoring, guidance, and role modeling to support leadership development, artistic skills, physical activity engagement, and academic progress.
• Provide active supervision, continually interacting with all members.
• Submit regular lesson plans, attendance sheets, and other paperwork responsibilities.
• Plan special events, such as guest speakers, performances, or field trips.
• Abide by and carry out safety policies and procedures.
• Attend local trainings
