Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is seeking a Teen Development Professional to support teen programs and partnerships in our community. The role focuses on creating safe, engaging environments that foster academic, social, and emotional growth for youth.

Responsibilities include planning activities, building relationships with youth and families, and coordinating with schools and partners. The position values trauma-informed approaches, strong communication, and reliable program

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of education or training in social services, education, youth development, or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience with youth in a school, community organization, Boys & Girls Club, or similar setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, scheduling, and implementation of teen programs and activities.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and families.
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Utilize trauma-informed and restorative practices when working with youth.
• Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes.
• Maintain program documentation and case notes.
• Support recruitment, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to promote programming.
