Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a GED Instructor to work with youth aged 16-21 in the Adolescent Skills Program. You will assess educational needs, administer TABE tests, and teach GED prep while documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 1 year experience teaching or 2 years tutoring.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Assess each student’s educational needs and administer TABE tests as needed.
• Teach GED prep classes and document progress monthly; create weekly lesson plans.
• Coordinate transition plans, review IEPs, and maintain attendance records.
• Schedule GED exams at NYS-approved Test Centers.
