Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee is seeking a part-time, on-site Teen Center staff member to foster positive youth development for teens aged 13–18. You will register members, assist with orientations, mentor youth, and help meet program and center goals.

Responsibilities include program planning, attendance tracking, and handling dues. CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver's license are required; background checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of computers and ability to work with technology.
• Ability to organize and supervise teen members while maintaining a safe environment.
• Data Entry experience.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a background check and physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that supports positive youth development outcomes for teens ages 13–18.
• Promote and encourage teen participation in daily programs and activities.
• Registering new teen members.
• Lead and/or participate in the Teen Center orientation process.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and positive role modeling to teen members.
• Assisting in achieving organizational and Teen Center goals.
• Collect membership dues and other monies related to program activities.
• Preparing periodic membership and attendance reports for Teen Center staff.
• Answering phone and taking messages.
• Tracking meal and snack counts.
• Assist with planning and facilitating age-appropriate programs, workshops, and activities for teens ages 13–18.
• Support college and career readiness, workforce development, technology, culinary arts, leadership, and creative enrichment activities.
• Encourage teens to explore their interests, participate in programs, and take leadership roles in project/events.
