Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is hiring a Direct Care Technician for the Adolescent Residential Home in Aberdeen, NC. This full-time, 2nd shift role (4p–12a) includes every other weekend and pay of $15.00 per hour.

You will support teens with mental health challenges and substance use disorders, provide counseling, and help with life-skills development. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of relevant experience with youth or substance disorders preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance for work.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Provide a therapeutic and safe group environment for clients.
• Attend to welfare and basic needs of teens in care.
• Facilitate group activities and socialization skills.
• Transport clients to meetings and community outings, assist in life-skills development.
