Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Care Technician to work full-time in the Adolescent Residential Home in Aberdeen, NC. The role runs 2nd shift (4 PM–12 AM) and includes every other weekend, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of relevant experience in substance disorders or working with youth preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles.
• Proficiency with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a therapeutic and safe group environment and attend to welfare and basic needs of clients.
• Provide informal counseling that involves behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement and socialization skills for clients.
• Facilitate and participate in group activities, accompany clients to NA/AA meetings and community outings, provide transportation, and assist in life-skills development.
• Promote progress in clients' recovery journey.
