Job summary

Patterns Behavioral Services, Inc. is seeking a patient, dependable RBT to support teenagers with emotional dysregulation in a clinic-based setting.

The role involves de-escalation, safe handling of aggression, and delivering individualized ABA services under BCBA supervision. Candidates should be able to build trust with teens, follow individualized safety plans, and collaborate with families and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with teenagers with developmental disabilities or behavioral support needs.
• De-escalation experience with physical aggression and safe response to outbursts.
• Ability to stay calm, use good judgment and communicate respectfully under pressure.
• QBS Safety-Care certification preferred; required training must be completed before procedures.
• Connect with teens through music, hobbies and age-appropriate activities while maintaining boundaries.
• Willingness to follow BCBA guidance and maintain consistent availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide ABA services under BCBA supervision.
• Teach communication, emotional regulation, coping and daily living skills.
• Use prevention and de-escalation strategies to support safety and reduce distress.
• Respond to aggression per plan, only with trained/authorized procedures.
• Help teens return to activities after challenging moments with dignity.
• Collect accurate data and collaborate with families and clinical team.
