Job summary

City of St. George is seeking a Golf Starter to assist guests with tee times, explain rules and pace of play, and support daily play totals at the municipal course. The role requires a welcoming presence and accurate handling of transactions.

Responsibilities include operating the starter desk and POS, updating tee sheets, promoting programs, and ensuring facilities and equipment are well-presented. Must be 21+ to serve alcohol and be available on Sundays with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old to serve alcohol in Utah.
• Experience with computer cashiering systems preferred.
• Availability to work any day of the week, including Sunday, with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate the starter desk in a professional manner.
• Operate POS system and manage sales.
• Ensure orderly flow of play and rotate players to maintain pace.
• Check identifications and process alcohol sales.
• Promote facility programs and provide friendly guest service.
• Maintain neat golf shop and surrounding areas and assist with maintenance as needed.
• Assist other staff and manage stock of scorecards and tees.
• Perform other related duties as required.
