Mint Hill Cabinets Inc. is seeking a Sanding & Prep Technician to prepare custom cabinetry for high-quality finishes in luxury homes and commercial projects around the Charlotte area.

You will sand cabinet parts and components, following precise grit sequences and sanding methods to ensure flawless surfaces. The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn MHC standards, with training offered for orbital sanders and hand tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with orbital sanders and hand-sanding tools preferred (will train as needed).
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize surface defects.
• Ability to consistently produce quality work with minimal rework.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lb throughout the workday.
• Willingness to learn MHC sanding, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Sand cabinet parts, panels, doors, edges, and profiles to finish-ready standards
• Follow established sanding methods and grit sequences for different materials and finishes
• Remove glue, mill marks, handling damage, and other surface defects
• Protect edges, profiles, and veneers from rounding or sand-through
• Inspect your work and correct sanding defects before parts move to finishing
• Properly protect, stack, and stage completed parts
• Maintain steady production while meeting MHC quality standards
