Job summary

Bellmont Cabinet Co. in Sumner, WA is seeking a diligent Sanding Technician to join the finishing department.

You will sand cabinet components and prepare pieces for the finishing stage, ensuring high-quality surfaces and proper fit for final assembly. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, using finishing tools and woodworking fundamentals while contributing to continuous improvement and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Surface preparation and sanding experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and work with woodworking tools.
• Able to read production schedules and job cards.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds solo.

Responsibilities

• Sand cabinet components and custom pieces to ensure surface quality for finishing.
• Prepare and modify components including molding and shelves.
• Identify surface imperfections and determine corrections.
• Safely operate saws and cutting tools to support operations.
• Move and stage components for next production stage.
• Meet daily and weekly production goals while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with team to maintain finish quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Share ideas for process improvements and ownership.
