Job summary

Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo P.C. seeks an experienced attorney to structure, draft, and negotiate a broad range of intellectual property and commercial agreements, with a focus on information technology licensing and partnerships.

You will advise on IP diligence for mergers, financing, and strategic transactions, and work directly with clients and in-house teams to manage licensing strategies across product lifecycles, ensuring the right balance between business goals and legal

Qualifications

• Knowledge of intellectual property law including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights.
• Experience advising on technology licensing and commercialization strategies.
• Experience representing clients in industries such as life sciences, healthcare, software, fintech, AI, cybersecurity, or sustainable energy.

Overview

• Structure, draft, and negotiate diverse intellectual property and commercial transactions with a focus on information technology, including license, service, development, distribution, marketing, and partnering agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property aspects, including diligence, for mergers & acquisitions and financing transactions.
• Engage in direct client contact, partnering with client business teams and in-house counsel across all product and company lifecycle stages, advising entrepreneurs and executives on technology, data, and digital asset licensing and commercialization strategy, and aligning legal risk with business goals.
• Requires knowledge of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights.
• Familiarity with various technologies is required, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud computing, platform technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data-driven business models.
• Experience representing clients in one or more of the following industries is required: life sciences, healthcare, software, fintech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, or sustainable energy.
