Job summary

Government Employees Health Association, Inc. (G.E.H.A) is seeking a Technology Team Lead, Web & Digital Solutions to provide technical leadership for Next.js-based enterprise web applications, Sitecore CMS, and privacy tools like OneTrust.

You will mentor a team, drive design decisions, and partner with management to deliver high-quality digital solutions. The role focuses on modern DevOps practices, cloud-hosted Azure environments, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technology field.
  • 5+ years in software engineering, web app development, or architecture.
  • 3+ years leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience mentoring teams and providing day-to-day leadership.
  • Experience with modern web frameworks (Next.js, Svelte, Vue).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architectures.

The Technology Team Lead, Web & Digital Solutions provides technical leadership and day-to-day guidance for a team supporting modern web applications built on the Next.js framework, including the Sitecore platform and other solutions like OneTrust for consent compliance. This role serves as a key liaison between the development team and management, helping drive technical excellence, team development, and successful solution delivery.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership experience, serving as a mentor, technical advisor, and trusted partner to both team members and leadership.

Talent Acquisition & Development
  • Participate in recruiting activities, technical interviews, candidate assessments, and hiring recommendations.
  • Support onboarding and knowledge transfer activities for new team members.
  • Help identify skill gaps and recommend training and development opportunities.
Application Delivery & Platform Ownership
  • Lead the design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise web applications and customer-facing digital experiences.
  • Guide development of Azure-hosted applications, APIs, and microservices utilizing modern DevOps practices.
  • Provide technical leadership for Sitecore content management, personalization, and Sitecore platform initiatives.
  • Support governance, enhancement, and operational efforts for OneTrust privacy and consent management solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional business and technology stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, web application development, or application architecture.
  • Requires 3 years of experience leading projects including working cross functionally to successfully deliver key initiatives.
  • Experience mentoring technical teams and providing day-to-day leadership within a software development environment.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications using modern web frameworks such as Next.js, Svelte, Vue, or other similar technologies.
  • Experience developing and supporting solutions within Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, application security, and engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Sitecore Experience Platform (XP), XM Cloud, Sitecore DXP, or related CMS platforms.
  • Experience utilizing Sitecore XM Cloud capabilities for content management, personalization, recommendations, and digital experience optimization.
  • Experience supporting OneTrust Privacy Management, Consent Management, Cookie Compliance, or Data Governance solutions.
  • Experience with Vercel hosting services, among other capabilities within the platform.
  • Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, and Azure API Management (APIM).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), OAuth, SAML, and modern authentication technologies.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
Work-at-home requirements
  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.

  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.

  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms

  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The target hiring range for this position is $126,147 - $159,583 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $177,821 USD. While initial compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications, there is a path to work toward this top rate through performance and continued growth within the organization.
