Wiley|Wilson seeks a Technology Systems Project Designer to join a 100% employee-owned firm in Lynchburg, VA. The role entails designing telecommunications networks, structured cabling, audio/visual, and electronic security systems for diverse vertical building projects, with collaboration across disciplines.

Applicants should have 3–7 years of design experience, Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, and strong time management.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience designing telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, audio/visual systems, and electronic security systems for vertical building projects.
• Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is required.
• An Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Design telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, audio/visual systems, and electronic security systems for a variety of projects.
• Develop and coordinate Revit models and construction documents.
• Collaborate with senior Technology Systems staff to deliver quality designs and develop technical expertise.
• Attend client and project meetings to coordinate items related to project scope and design. Approximate travel requirement 10%-15%.
• Coordinate Technology Systems designs with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project quality standards, schedules, and budgets.
