Job Description Summary

Technology Support Technician

Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, is seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician. You will provide direct technical support to end users via phone, email, walk-up, and web on all IT systems, including but not limited to Wynne Rental-man, AS/400 system, Email, PC Network systems, Microsoft Office, Printing, Scanning, Faxing, basic hardware, and web systems. You will also serve as Tier II support, assisting Level I helpdesk technicians.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support end users on various issues, identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems.
  • Respond to support requests via telephone, email, and in person.
  • Document, track, and monitor issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide Tier II support to helpdesk technicians.
  • Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Perform complex tasks and take initiative to improve service delivery.
  • Manage and administer support systems and departmental systems.
  • Collaborate with team members for effective communication and training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 2 years of effective experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in computer science or related field (preferred, not required).
  • Knowledge of AS/400 systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC hardware and software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
