JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE

Technology Support Technician

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 48 hours of college credit in technology/network related courses. Documented experience may be considered in lieu of college hours.
• Prefer documented experience in computer repair, installation of technology equipment and software.
• A working knowledge of hardware, software, and network infrastructure

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide end user support while aiding the Network Engineers to maintain the district’s technology, computer assets, and supporting staff in the use of technology.
• Complete work requests using support ticket system
• Prioritize work orders
• Assist Network Engineers with monitoring network
• Establish and maintain staff and student accounts
• Monitor HVAC online system and schedule as applicable
• Act as liaison between school and network engineers
• Follow purchasing guidelines and procedures for equipment and supplies
• Assist with website support and updates
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all administrators
• Manage technology fixed assets
• Assist with monitoring of internet safety and security
• Recommend technology cycled upgrades
• Act as point of contact for MDE
• Others duties assigned by supervisor
