Job summary

Blue Fox Group in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Technology Strategist (vCIO) to guide technology roadmaps and budgets for a portfolio of managed clients. You will be based at our Scottsdale office with a flexible hybrid schedule.

You will own multi-year plans, conduct Quarterly Business Reviews, and drive executive relationships, aligning technology decisions with business goals. A hybrid work model and relocation flexibility are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years at an MSP in a client-facing role.
• Explain complex technology in plain language.
• Listen more than you pitch with calibrated questions.
• Broad fluency: Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, security, backup/DR, cloud voice.
• Experience with TruMethods / myITProcess / ConnectWise is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Blue Fox Group is looking for a Technology Strategist (vCIO) with true MSP experience to join our pack. You'll be based at our Scottsdale, AZ office, with the flexibility to work from home a couple of days a week. Local Phoenix-metro candidates preferred — or be ready to relocate to the Valley.

You'll be the strategic voice of Blue Fox inside our clients' businesses — owning technology roadmaps, budgets, and business reviews for a portfolio of managed clients. You're the trusted guide a business owner calls BEFORE making a technology decision, not after.

We run the TruMethods framework: Strategic Business Reviews, standards alignment in myITProcess, and recommendations that get real decisions because clients understand the why.

• 3+ years at an MSP (Managed Services Provider) in a client-facing role — this one is required
• You explain complex technology in plain language — and enjoy it
• You listen more than you pitch (calibrated questions > sales scripts)
• Broad fluency: Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, security, backup/DR, cloud voice
• TruMethods / myITProcess / ConnectWise experience is a strong plus
• You own outcomes. When something slips, you say so early and fix it.

COMPENSATION

$95,000 – $130,000 base salary, depending on experience.
