Job summary

Humana in Louisville is seeking a Lead, Technology Solutions to drive an effective strategy for executing IT business initiatives and to lead multiple engineering teams responsible for building, modernizing, and operating enterprise-scale technology solutions. Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive technology experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience leading engineering teams including engineering managers, technical leads, architects, developers and other professionals with a focus on talent development and engineering excellence.
• Ability to establish and execute technology and engineering roadmaps aligned with business strategy, product priorities, architectural direction, and enterprise standards.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including Agile delivery, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, observability and secure development.
• Experience providing technical and architectural leadership, evaluating solution options and making pragmatic decisions across scalability, performance, security, maintainability, cost, and speed to market.
• Proven accountability for end-to-end software delivery from strategy through production readiness and ongoing support.
• Experience managing technology budgets, resources, capacity, vendor relationships, and delivery across multiple initiatives.
• Ability to track engineering and delivery performance using data to improve quality, predictability, and reliability.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and modernization and reducing technical debt.
• Ability to partner with Product Management, Business, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Data and Operations to translate outcomes into solutions.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills to convey complex topics and tradeoffs to senior leaders.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and make risk-informed decisions in complex environments.
• Experience establishing production ownership, incident management, DR, performance, availability and SRE practices.
• Demonstrated ability to build a culture of engineering excellence with focus on customer outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
