Job summary
Pearson is seeking a Technology Solutions Specialist to own business analysis for PPA system enhancements, product improvements, integrations, and reporting initiatives. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data, QA, Client Services, and Operations to translate needs into actionable requirements and ensure traceability.
You will manage ambiguity, decompose work into backlog items, and contribute to backlog refinement, demos, and stakeholder reviews while maintaining comprehensive
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, CS, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 2–3 years of business analysis or related technology delivery experience.
- Experience with Agile delivery, SDLC, Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence/SharePoint, process mapping, and requirements lifecycle management.
- Experience with enterprise systems, integrations, APIs, reporting, SQL/data analysis, or operational workflow analysis preferred.
- IIBA certification, Agile certification, Pearson partner certifications and related test assessments experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements elicitation for initiatives, enhancements, and system changes.
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mappings.
- Document workflows and system behavior; create process flows and data mappings.
- Use approved AI tools to accelerate requirement drafting, stakeholder synthesis, and user story refinement.
- Perform AI-enabled data analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks, and reporting insights.
- Analyze current-state processes and recommend future-state improvements for efficiency and data consistency.
- Decompose requirements into backlog items and technical tickets in collaboration with multiple teams.
- Facilitate backlog refinement, data alignment sessions, demos, and stakeholder reviews.
- Maintain a single source of truth for product/process documentation, API notes, and decisions.
- Communicate scope, risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for automation and AI-enabled improvements; support validation readiness.
