Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) seeks a Technology Services Engineer I to join the XX office. You will support energy-efficient building solutions, research codes, and coordinate technology systems within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will grow under mentorship, take on responsibility, and contribute to designing technology systems, equipment specifications, and construction documentation. AEI offers development, collaboration, and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• GPA minimum 2.5
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities preferred
• Interest in helping clients leverage technology and tech systems
• Internship in building systems design – tech/electrical preferred

Responsibilities

• Research codes/standards/guidelines for projects
• Conduct telecom outlet and Tech system device density studies
• Develop Technology room size/location concepts
• Coordinate Technology work with multidisciplinary teams
• Review product data and submittals, prepare RFIs and change documents
• Assist in design of Technology systems and prepare specifications

As aTechnology Services Engineer I in our XX office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy‑efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Why we need you:

You will work with and be mentored by experienced engineers. Your assignments will include conducting code/standard/guideline research, performing telecom outlet and Technology system device density studies and calculations, developing Technology room size and location concepts, developing Technology system device and equipment locations, coordinating Technology work with project team members of other disciplines, reviewing product data and shop drawing submittals, preparing answers to requests for information, preparing construction change documents, and conducting existing condition and construction progress field surveys. As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading Technology project teams, designing Technology systems, selecting basis of design equipment and devices, preparing specifications, and participating in project meetings with clients and other project team members. Expertise of our most successful Technology Services Engineer I:

• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.
• Interest in helping clients leverage technology and technology systems to address their operational needs and meet their staff and organizational goals.
• Interest in and curiosity about existing and emerging technologies.
• Internship experience in building systems design – technology/electrical preferred.
