Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) seeks a Technology Services Engineer I in Madison to support energy-efficient building solutions and greener outcomes. You will work under mentorship on research, space concepts, and equipment placement, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

As you gain project experience, you will lead Technology project teams, select basis of design equipment, prepare specifications, and participate in client meetings, with growth into a future leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities preferred.
• Interest in helping clients leverage technology and technology systems to address operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code/standard/guideline research.
• Perform telecom outlet and Technology system device density studies and calculations.
• Develop Technology room size and location concepts.
• Develop Technology system device and equipment locations.
• Coordinate Technology work with project team members of other disciplines.
• Review product data and shop drawing submittals.
• Prepare answers to RFIs and construction change documents.
• Conduct existing condition and construction progress field surveys.
• As you gain project experience, lead Technology project teams and design Technology systems.

As a Technology Services Engineer I in our Madison office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Here’s Why We Need You

You will work with and be mentored by experienced engineers. Your assignments will include conducting code/standard/guideline research, performing telecom outlet and Technology system device density studies and calculations, developing Technology room size and location concepts, developing Technology system device and equipment locations, coordinating Technology work with project team members of other disciplines, reviewing product data and shop drawing submittals, preparing answers to requests for information, preparing construction change documents, and conducting existing condition and construction progress field surveys. As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading Technology project teams, designing Technology systems, selecting basis of design equipment and devices, preparing specifications, and participating in project meetings with clients and other project team members. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited school.
