Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a Technology Services Designer II to translate system design concepts into precise layouts for energy-efficient building solutions.

You will base designs on basis of design and information from users, consultants, field surveys and code research. You will collaborate with clients and project teams, applying NEC, TIA, BICSI and FGI standards, using Revit or AutoCAD to deliver robust designs and coordinate with other disciplines to meet project

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in building systems design and related technology infrastructures.
• Understanding of building systems spatial requirements and design coordination.
• Familiarity with NEC, TIA, BICSI, FGI standards.

Responsibilities

• Convert system design concepts into layouts by interpreting basis of design and input from users, consultants, field surveys and code research.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams to ensure design requirements are met.
• Support integration of technology systems within project teams and assist with project documentation.

In this role, you will use prior experience to convert system design concepts into specific layouts by interpreting information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys and code research.

Expertise of our most successful Technology Services Designer II:

• 2+ years' experience in building systems design –structured cabling, technology systems infrastructure and low voltage electrical systems.
• Understanding of building systems spatial requirements and design coordination.
• Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD.
• Interest in helping clients leverage technology and technology systems to address their operational needs and meet their staff and organizational goals.
• Interest in and curiosity about existing and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of NEC, TIA, BICSI, FGI standards.
