Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Boston, MA seeks a Technology Services Designer II to translate client needs and basis-of-design into precise layouts for energy-efficient building systems.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, verifiable designs and support project goals. You will contribute on projects across healthcare, science, and technology sectors, using Revit or AutoCAD and a strong awareness of NEC, TIA, and related standards to meet client outcomes

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in building systems design including cabling and low voltage.
• Understanding of building systems spatial requirements and design coordination.
• Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD.
• Interest in leveraging technology to address client operational needs and goals.
• Knowledge of NEC, TIA, BICSI, FGI standards.

• Convert system design concepts into specific layouts by interpreting basis of design as well as information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys and code research.

Expertise Of Our Most Successful Technology Services Designer

• 2+ years' experience in building systems design - structured cabling, technology systems infrastructure and low voltage electrical systems.
• Understanding of building systems spatial requirements and design coordination.
• Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD.
• Interest in helping clients leverage technology and technology systems to address their operational needs and meet their staff and organizational goals.
• Interest in and curiosity about existing and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of NEC, TIA, BICSI, FGI standards.
