Job summary

RSM is seeking an Risk Consulting Intern to work with mid-sized clients across industries, gaining hands-on experience with internal controls, IT risk, and assurance services. You’ll work with a Performance Advisor to guide development and engagement planning, gaining exposure to real client environments and leadership interactions.

You’ll contribute to SOC and IT controls projects, support risk assessments, and learn how technology risk management aligns with business objectives, while building

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree; 90 credit hours completed.
• Major in Accounting and/or Information Systems or related degrees.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Travel to client locations may be required; reliable transportation needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' needs, business and industry context.
• Assist in design and optimization of controls for IT and business processes.
• Identify internal control deficiencies and advise clients on risk implications.
• Support creation of internal control documentation for engagements
• Engage with client leadership on strategies to anticipate emerging technology risks.
• Contribute to SOX/SOC and IT controls engagements.
