Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group seeks an Associate Vice President, Technology Procurement to shape and execute procurement strategies for software, hardware, cloud services, cybersecurity, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.

The role collaborates with the CTO/CIO, CAIO, CISO, and other senior leaders to optimize investments, mitigate risk, and maximize value across a $500m+ annual spend, driving TCO improvements and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive procurement experience with a focus on technology categories (software/hardware/cloud).
• Proven track record leading complex sourcing initiatives and negotiating large-scale technology agreements.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
• Experience leading procurement teams in a global, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for complex multi-million-dollar technology agreements across ERP/CRM/SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, hardware, telecom, and data centers.
• Formulate and execute procurement category strategies aligned with organizational goals and market intelligence.
• Establish governance processes, risk mitigation, and compliance across tech procurement activities.
• Partner with internal tech teams to translate technical requirements into sourcing actions and vendor strategies.
• Forecast technology needs with finance and participate in budget tradeoffs to deliver value creation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives on technology sourcing and supplier strategy.
• Lead and develop a global procurement team of 20 professionals (10 FTEs + 10 offshore) and drive KPI dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Track procurement ROI and communicate business impact to leadership.
