Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group seeks an Associate Vice President, Technology Procurement to lead enterprise technology sourcing, drive cost optimization, and manage supplier relationships across software, cloud, cybersecurity, and professional services. You will shape long-term strategies, negotiate high-value contracts, and align with executive leadership to maximize value and enable digital transformation.

The role guides a global team and partners with CTO/CIO, CAIO and CISO to optimize technology

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive procurement experience with a focus on technology categories.
Proven track record in leading complex sourcing initiatives and negotiating large-scale technology agreements.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
Experience leading procurement teams in a global, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

Lead negotiations for complex multi-million-dollar technology agreements across Enterprise Software, Cloud, AI, Cybersecurity, hardware, and related services.
Formulate and execute procurement category strategies aligned with goals and market intelligence.
Establish governance processes, risk mitigation, and compliance across technology procurement.
Partner with internal tech teams and external procurement partners on evolving contracting and billing practices.
Forecast technology needs with finance, participate in budget tradeoffs, and deliver value creation (5-10% of annual spend).
Serve as trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology sourcing and commercial optimization.
Lead and develop a global technology procurement team of ~20 people (10 FTEs + 10 offshore).
Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance, supplier compliance and ops effectiveness.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve service levels.
Perform SRM with executive governance across strategic technology suppliers.
Track procurement ROI and communicate business impact to executives.
Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and contractual obligations long-term.
Ensure supplier cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory compliance and governance adherence.
Manage procurement budget and cost-control measures.
Stay updated on industry developments and sustainability practices; promote digital tools and automation.
