IMEG is offering a Summer 2027 Technology Internship in Fairfax, Virginia. Over 10-12 weeks, you will assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology, ICT, and systems in buildings, with paid mentorship and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years toward BS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, IT, CS, or related STEM field.
  • Interest in building design consulting and cross-team collaboration.

  • Proactive learning and adaptability to new challenges.
  • Developing proficiency with BIM software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design portions of projects per IMEG standards.
  • Support engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low-voltage tech in buildings.
  • Help research resources for commercially available equipment.
  • Maintain client relations, project notebooks, and permanent records.
  • Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and equipment teams.

Over 10-12 weeks, you will assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology, ICT, systems in buildings as part of a paid, mentored internship with real project work.In this role, you will support project design, documentation, coordination, and job site observations while working within project budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
