Job summary

NWU seeks a technically skilled intern to develop UEFI/BIOS code on HP workstations and troubleshoot complex hardware/embedded issues. The role includes gathering training data for AI models and applying circuit analysis, PCB design, and FPGA basics in a hands-on environment.

The candidate will work with a range of test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) and hardware assembly tasks, gaining exposure to RF concepts and power electronics while pursuing technical studies in

Qualifications

• 3rd year of university or 1st year of master's in a technical degree
• Eligible to work in the US in 2027 without sponsorship
• Circuit analysis, electronics, PCB design and schematic capture
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies
• Soldering and hardware assembly experience
• Knowledge of embedded systems and MCUs (Arduino/STM32/ESP32/PIC)
• Understanding of digital logic and FPGA basics
• Familiarity with power electronics, power systems, control systems, and signal processing
• RF/wireless concepts for communications roles
• Preferred majors include EE, CE, CS, and related fields

Your Role

About You

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

• Completed 3rd year of university or 1st year of master's, typically in a technical degree specialization.
• Eligible to work in the US in 2027 without requiring future work authorization sponsorship.
• Core technical skills including circuit analysis and design, analog and digital electronics, PCB design and schematic capture.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
• Skills in soldering and hardware assembly.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, STM32, ESP32, PIC).
• Understanding of digital logic and FPGA basics.
• Familiarity with power electronics, power systems fundamentals, control systems, and signal processing.
• Basic RF/wireless concepts for communications roles.
• Preferred majors include Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, and Computer Science.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $29 to $35 (US candidates only), varying by location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
