Technology Implementation Consultant - VPN Engineer

Under general supervision, the VPN Engineer is the primary technical contact for initial VPN connectivity build with new customers as well as providing ongoing support to customers as connectivity issues arise. Works directly with external client counterparts to ensure connectivity is established for HL7 and data extract connection.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with client resources to establish new VPN connectivity.
  • Work directly with client resources to connect and maintain SFTP connections.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Clear and explicit communication with client resources regarding technical specifications/limitations/differences
  • Adhering to VPN policy guidelines as prescribed by our security team
  • Responsible for the safe handling of highly sensitive and protected health information (PHI)
  • Update documentation configuration forms as standard processes evolve

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, computer science, an applied science, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of basic networking structure and terminology
  • Experience with Cisco ASA firewall devices
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting site-to-site IPSec VPN tunnels
  • Experience with SFTP servers and protocol
  • Very detail oriented
  • Preferred familiarity with other VPN devices (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, etc)

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA:: $76,350 - $105,700
