Due to increased client demand, we are looking for a motivated, professional, and service-minded individual to join our team full-time in the role of Software Implementation Consultant. In this role, you will work directly with our Professional Services staff to assist with new software implementations. What You’ll Do:

The EDI Implementation Consultant/Software Engineer is a role (remote) that is responsible for collaborating with customers and trading partners to implement EDI translation software and internal teams to code requested customizations and optimize electronic data interchange (EDI) processes.

In this role you will work closely with clients to implement CAI’s Manufacturing Solutions and collaborate with Product Development, Support, and the Sales Teams with an eye focused on Customer Success. This includes:

  • Managing and delivering implementation project tasks for integrating general and automotive EDI solutions from close of sale through hand-off to the Customer Support team.
  • Executing installation, upgrades, integrations, testing, and software configuration as part of completing implementation projects.
  • Leading and managing end-to-end EDI integrations with multiple formats and Enterprise systems.
  • Programming front and back-end customer requested customizations.
  • Monitoring data flow and analyze, resolve or direct any required technical bug fixes.
  • Tracking progress of implementation project(s). Ensure deadlines are met and scheduling issues resolved.
  • Keeping customers and other stakeholders informed of project progress.
  • Possessing and maintaining a high level of industry-specific business knowledge by remaining current with emerging products and technical updates.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Full end to end implementation experience in EDI systems and integrations with manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in a large-scale EDI project and working with multiple Partners for on-boarding EDI messages.
  • Experience with mapping tools and scripting for EDI transformations.
  • Strong working knowledge of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT), communication protocols (FTP, AS2, VANs) and mailbox setup.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues across inbound and outbound documents in a timely manner to work cross functionally with business users, technical developers, and external trading partners.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, especially over the phone, with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience integrating EDI with ERP systems including familiarity with tables, business functions, and document flows
  • Knowledge of full stack programming such as VB.net, Ruby, Java, C#, Synergy, SQL
  • Exposure to integration technologies such as Open API, REST, and JSON is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Angular Framework/DevExtreme and Azure DevOps is also a plus.
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities and achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Availability to travel to customer sites and work a flexible schedule (when necessary).
