Job summary

Capital Region BOCES seeks a technology integration specialist to train district staff on classroom software and provide guidance on technology planning aligned with NYS standards. The role includes district-wide collaboration to support instructional software and network resources, and to assist with state/federal reporting and grant applications.

The successful candidate will work independently and with colleagues to promote student achievement through effective technology use in PreK-12

Qualifications

Current NYS teaching or administrative certificate.
Degree in Instructional and/or Assistive Technology preferred.
3+ years full-time classroom teaching experience preferred.
2 years professional development experience in technology integration for PreK-12.

Responsibilities

Train and instruct district administrators, teachers and staff on classroom software applications supported by a BOCES Regional Information Center.
Provide leadership, guidance and technical assistance on planning and implementing technology integration into curricula aligned with NYS standards.
Lead district-wide technology planning related to state and federal reporting and grant applications.
Collaborate with instructional and technical staff to support and optimize use of instructional software and network resources.
Work independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
