Job summary

Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, is seeking a full-time Continuing Faculty Status-track professional to join the Technology and Engineering Education (TEE) program. The role focuses on developing and teaching undergraduate courses in technical content and instructional methods, supervising student teachers, and mentoring graduate students.

The position emphasizes scholarship and outreach with a strong commitment to STEM education.

Qualifications

PhD in Technology and Engineering Education or closely related field.
Required degree must be completed by start date.
Experience teaching technology and engineering education in grades 6–12.
Strong interest in STEM education.
Outstanding instructional skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and teach undergraduate courses in technical content areas (communications technology, manufacturing technology, pre-engineering).
Develop and teach undergraduate courses in instructional methods and pedagogy.
Supervision of student teachers.
Teach graduate-level courses and mentor graduate students.
Serve as a faculty advisor for the BYU TEECA.
Conduct scholarship and activities impacting technology and engineering education.
Engage in professional development and outreach activities in the field.
Supervision of a materials processing lab facility.
