Job summary

Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah invites applications for a full-time Continuing Faculty Status-track Professional Faculty position in Technology and Engineering Education (TEE). The appointee will develop and teach undergraduate courses and supervise graduate students.

PhD in Technology and Engineering Education or closely related field is required by start date. Strong instructional skills and a track record of STEM education research with experience teaching grades 6–12 are desired.

Qualifications

• PhD in Technology & Engineering Education or closely related field (must be completed by start date).
• Experience teaching technology and engineering education in grades 6–12.
• Proven research in technology and engineering education and STEM education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate courses in technical content areas such as communications technology, manufacturing technology, and pre-engineering.
• Develop and teach undergraduate courses in instructional methods and pedagogy.
• Supervision of student teachers.
• Teach graduate-level courses and mentor graduate students.
• Serve as a faculty advisor for the BYU affiliate of the Technology and Engineering Education Collegiate Association (TEECA).
• Conduct scholarship and creative activities that impact the technology and engineering education profession.
• Conduct professional development and educational outreach activities and be actively involved in the Technology and Engineering Education profession at a local, state, and national level.
• Supervision of a materials processing lab facility.
