Job summary

Indiana Farmers Insurance in Carmel, Indiana, seeks a Team Leader, Technology Enablement to guide a hands-on engineering squad and shape a practical modernization roadmap. You will drive DevOps, cloud-native approaches, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve developer experience and delivery outcomes.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with architecture, security, and operations, and help scale Azure cloud modernization, containerization, and internal tooling across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years in software engineering, DevOps, platform/cloud engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing technical staff.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, cloud environments, and containerization.
• Experience promoting tool adoption across teams and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of modern engineering practices and cloud ecosystems; Azure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a small technology enablement team.
• Contribute to codebases, prototypes, and evaluations for tooling.
• Own and evolve a technology-enablement roadmap with emerging tech.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and app teams to advance DevOps and cloud-native practices.
• Design and build internal tools to streamline engineering workflows.
• Coach teams through tool adoption and sustain ownership after delivery.
• Support Azure cloud modernization, containerization, and cloud-native capabilities.
• Guide AI-enabled tool adoption to improve engineering outcomes.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to accelerate major initiatives.
• Lead talent development and training across the team.
