Job summary

Ringside Talent seeks a Lead Software Engineer to guide a team through modernizing core applications in a hybrid Columbus, OH setting. You’ll shape microservices and SOA, mentor engineers, and drive Azure deployments.

You will own technical direction, ensure code quality, and collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable features. Strong leadership and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core and RESTful APIs.
• Experience deploying applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Background in microservices, service-oriented architecture, and SQL Server; proven modernization of legacy applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization of legacy applications and break monolithic systems into more flexible, maintainable services.
• Shape architecture decisions around microservices and service-oriented design.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Work with SQL Server on data modeling, performance, and integration needs.
• Run code reviews and set the bar for quality, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and technical guidance.
• Encourage thoughtful use of AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor or Claude Code, to speed up delivery.
• Partner with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver features reliably.
