Job summary

Analysis Group is seeking a Technology Developer to join our Application Development Team in Boston. You will design, build, and maintain secure web applications using C#/.NET, ASP.NET, and modern JavaScript frameworks, while integrating with databases, APIs, and SaaS platforms.

You will contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and on-call support across cloud and on‑prem environments, collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional full stack development experience required; 4–10 years preferred.
  • Strong understanding of core computer science fundamentals and software design principles.
  • Proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including current framework versions.
  • Experience developing with ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Node.js and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js preferred.
  • Familiarity with MVC design principles preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications in Microsoft Azure; AWS or on‑premises preferred.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
  • Experience designing AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows using modern AI frameworks and SDKs is preferred.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or restriction.

The Technology Developer position will be part of the Application Development Team which is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining secure application solutions to the business and client challenges. This includes working with complex on-prem, cloud and hybrid tech stacks in the areas of application development, database, SaaS integrations and cloud architecture. An ideal candidate is passionate about technology and the software development process.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Design, build, and enhance modern web applications using C#, ASP.NET, and contemporary JavaScript frameworks. Contribute to both single-page applications and MVC architectures, integrating with databases, APIs, and external systems.
  • DevOps and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the automation, deployment, and monitoring of applications through CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices. Collaborate with infrastructure and IT teams to improve reliability, scalability, and development workflows across both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit and integration testing, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot application issues to ensure code quality and system stability.
  • Integration and SaaS Solutions: Implement and support integrations with third-party and SaaS platforms to expand the firm’s technology capabilities.
  • Prototyping and Innovation: Build proof-of-concept solutions and workflows to evaluate emerging technologies and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Prepare clear and comprehensive technical documentation, training materials, and support resources.
  • Support: Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to provide timely support for production systems and maintain application availability.
  • Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional full stack development experience required; 4–10 years preferred.
  • Strong understanding of core computer science fundamentals is required, including data structures and algorithms, operating systems, computer architecture, networking, databases, concurrency, distributed systems, and software design principles, with the ability to apply these concepts to solving complex software engineering problems.
  • Proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including current framework versions.
  • Experience developing with ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Node.js and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js preferred.
  • Familiarity with Model-View-Controller (MVC) design principles preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications in Microsoft Azure, with additional experience in AWS or on-premises environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
  • Experience designing and building AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows using modern AI frameworks and SDKs, such as Microsoft Agent Framework, Microsoft Foundry, GitHub Copilot SDK, Codex SDK, or similar, is preferred, including an understanding of LLM orchestration, tool calling, context management, and RAG concepts such as embeddings, retrieval, grounding, and vector/hybrid search.
  • Experience using AI coding agents and harnesses in software development is preferred, including model and tool selection, context and instruction engineering, Markdown-based instruction files and reusable skills, and orchestration of models, tools, and workflows.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Analysis Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000- $150,000. Compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including work experience, education, and skill level. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus that is determined in large part by individual performance.
