Job summary

University of Utah Campus Store is seeking a Category Manager Technology to support the technology assortment on campus in partnership with the Senior Manager of Merchandising.

You will collaborate with leading brands such as Apple, Dell, Microsoft, and Lenovo to ensure a relevant, productive assortment for students, faculty, and staff, while managing lifecycle, pricing, and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with related work experience.
• Education aligned to merchandising, business, supply chain, marketing or technology.
• Equivalency options accepted as stated by HR policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute technology category strategy, assortment plans, and financial goals.
• Support buying through product research, vendor evaluation, and approved orders.
• Coordinate product launches and vendor programs with key partners.
• Manage product lifecycle from launch to end-of-life and pricing updates.
• Monitor performance using sales, margin, inventory, and sell-through metrics.
