Job summary

The University of Utah Campus Store is seeking a Technology Sales Floor Lead, a full-time hourly leadership role overseeing the technology department (Utech). The position emphasizes driving sales, customer experience, merchandising, and floor operations in a dynamic campus retail setting.

The role requires hands-on leadership on the sales floor, strong product knowledge of Apple and PC hardware, and the ability to train and guide teammates while meeting sales targets.

Qualifications

• Three years of retail sales experience with one year of supervising employees and effective communication skills required.
• Associate’s degree in Business, or a related field, or two years of related college work (or equivalency) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Apple and PC hardware and accessories is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a visible leader on the sales floor, actively engaging customers and supporting team members.
• Model and promote exceptional customer service and consultative selling techniques.
• Assist customers with product selection and technology solutions by identifying needs and recommending products.
• Meet or exceed individual sales goals while supporting departmental objectives.
• Promote technology solutions including devices, accessories, protection plans, and service offerings.
• Maintain knowledge of product lines, promotions, and current technology trends.
• Educate customers on features, options, and repair timelines as appropriate.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new associates and provide day-to-day guidance.
