Overview

Position Highlights:

• Full-Time: 40 Hours/Week
• Hours: Varied; Monday-Friday shifts from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Rotating weekend coverage every 6th weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am-4:00pm). Holidays and travel as needed.
• Location: Schaumburg

Responsibilities

Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist. Responsibilities include:

• Positioning patients and adjusting immobilization devices to obtain optimal views.
• Explaining procedures to reduce patient anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Positioning equipment and adjusting controls for proper exposure.
• Practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
• Obtaining patient history.
• Maintaining crash cart and inventory.
• Adhering to OSHA regulations.
• Performing other related duties and projects.
• Collaborating with team members and accepting feedback.
• Reporting to the lead technologist and assisting with film quality control.
• Working evenings and holidays, with departmental responsibilities.
• Assisting and relieving the manager to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 2 years related experience/training, or an equivalent combination.
• Must be AART registered or eligible, and licensed by IDNS.
• CPR certification.

Experience:

• 6 months to 2 years related experience.

The compensation range for this role is $28.84 to $38.90 per hour, depending on skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and internal factors. Additional incentives may include shift differentials and bonuses. Total rewards extend beyond base pay.
