Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough understanding of radiologic principles and utilizes appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal procedures and treatments, as evidenced by results.
• Develops and implements procedure and treatment plans following hospital protocols and guidelines.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintains equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas in a safe and tidy condition to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Participates in performance improvement activities to ensure quality patient care.
• Achieves assigned goals.

Specifications

Experience

• Minimum Required: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (ARRT(R)) or a recent graduate awaiting registry. Proof of ARRT registration must be provided within 60 days of graduation. Must also hold a state license if required. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Training & Skills

• Basic computer literacy.

Licensure

• ARRT(R), BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and state license as required. Recent graduates must obtain registry within 60 days.
