Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Multi-Modality Technologist qualified to perform MRI, CT, diagnostic ultrasound, interventional radiology, radiation therapy, mammography or nuclear medicine procedures. This role supports second or additional modalities and requires on-call availability to meet modality needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Certified or licensed in at least two Radiology modalities (ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT/ARDMS).
• 1-2 years of Clinical Radiology Experience.

Job description

Overview: The Multi-Modality Technologist is qualified/credentialled to perform at a minimum of two (2) MRI, CT, diagnostic, US, IR, Radiation Therapy, Mammography or Nuclear Medicine procedures. This position must support the second or additional modalities on a routine basis by being available to work in the modality and must be able to provide on call coverage for these modalities as needed by the modality. Strives to provide patient centered care. Upholds the standard of practice of a registered technologist.

Qualifications: Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline. Preferred Education: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology. Necessary Skills: 1. Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices. 2. Communicates exams/procedures to patients. 3. Knowledge computer software and ability to trouble shoot. 4. Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment. 5. Maintain competency in a minimus of two modalities. Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Credentialed, certified, or licensed in a minimum of two (2) different Radiology modalities through the state, ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS. Required Experience: 1-2 years of Clinical Radiology Experience.
