Job summary

UF Health seeks a Multi-Modality Technologist qualified to perform a minimum of two radiology procedures and to support additional modalities on a routine basis. The role requires on-call coverage across modalities, delivering patient-centered care and upholding professional standards as a registered technologist.

Candidates should have education in Radiology, with high school completion and credentialing in at least two modalities; preferred is an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited radiology discipline.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Certified in at least two radiology modalities by ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT or ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform a minimum of two modalities (MRI, CT, diagnostic, US, IR, Radiation Therapy, Mammography or Nuclear Medicine).
• Provide on-call coverage for modalities as needed.
• Maintain patient-centered care and uphold the standard of practice for a registered technologist.

Job description

Overview: The Multi-Modality Technologist is qualified/credentialled to perform at a minimum of two (2) MRI, CT, diagnostic, US, IR, Radiation Therapy, Mammography or Nuclear Medicine procedures. This position must support the second or additional modalities on a routine basis by being available to work in the modality and must be able to provide on call coverage for these modalities as needed by the modality. Strives to provide patient centered care. Upholds the standard of practice of a registered technologist. #ACDP

Qualifications

Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups.

Required Education: REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline.

Preferred Education: Associate‘s Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Necessary Skills:

• Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices.
• Communicates exams/procedures to patients.
• Knowledge computer software and ability to trouble shoot.
• Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment.
• Maintain competency in a minimus of two modalities.

Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Credentialed, certified, or licensed in a minimum of two (2) different Radiology modalities through the state, ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS.

Required Experience: 1-2 years of Clinical Radiology Experience.
