Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Meridian, MS seeks an Imaging Technologist specialized in MRI to perform imaging procedures according to radiology practice standards, aiding diagnosis and treatment.

You will maintain equipment, implement treatment plans per hospital protocols, document procedures, and participate in Performance Improvement activities; ARRT(R) certification and BLS are required, MR registry preferred, and new graduates must obtain registry within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of radiologic principles/theory and uses the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Special Skills

• Basic computer literacy skills.

Licensure

• ARRT(R); BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE; NEW GRADUATE WHO WILL OBTAIN REQUIRED REGISTRY WITHIN 60 DAYS OF HIRE; STATE LICENSE AS REQUIRED
