Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures in accordance with established radiology standards. You will develop and implement imaging plans, operate state-of-the-art MRI equipment, and ensure patient safety while maintaining detailed documentation.

The role requires ARRT(R) certification or MR certification, BLS within 30 days of hire, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) (MR) certification required or ARRT(MR) preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• Basic computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to radiology practice standards to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Develop and implement appropriate MRI procedure plans.
• Follow hospital protocols to execute procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Complete documentation per hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain MRI equipment, rooms, and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities to uphold care standards.
• Complete assigned goals within the orientation period.

Overview

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required or Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
