Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures in accordance with radiology standards, contributing to accurate diagnoses and patient care.

The role requires ARRT certification, MR preference, and BLS within 30 days of hire, with at least six months MRI experience. Strong computer literacy and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in MRI to meet all competencies at end of orientation.
• ARRT(R) registration required; ARRT(MR) preferred for MR imaging.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging procedures according to radiology practice standards.
• Develops and implements procedure plans following hospital protocols.
• Completes documentation to comply with policies and procedures.
• Maintains MRI equipment and work areas in a safe condition for patients and staff.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure standard care.
• Completes assigned goals.

Overview

Job Summary: Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

Minimum Required: 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

Minimum Required: Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required or Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Special Skills

Minimum Required: Basic computer literacy skills.
