BJC HealthCare is hiring a Full-time MRI Technologist at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois. The role includes a sign-on bonus of $5,000 for eligible applicants, 12-hour shifts across 3 days (Monday, Thursday, Friday), and a call rotation every 5th weekend from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Cross-training in MRI is available if not already MRI registered. Required to be RT(R) registered or willing to obtain MRI registration; education includes an Associate or trade school equivalency.

• Associate or Trade School Equivalency required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.

Overview

Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Twin Rivers MRI is located within Alton Memorial Hospital. Twin Rivers has some of the newest technology available today, and is one of three in the St. Louis and IL metro region to house a 3.0 Tesla MRI unit. This MRI unit is a powerful imaging system

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
