Job summary

BJC HealthCare, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Illinois, is hiring a Full-time MRI Technologist to join Twin Rivers MRI. The role involves 12-hour day shifts, three days per week (Mon, Thu, Fri) from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and a required call rotation every fifth weekend.

Cross-training in MRI and RT(R) registration are encouraged for eligible applicants. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits within a large regional health system.

Qualifications

• Associate or trade school degree in radiologic technology.
• RT(R) registration required if not MRI registered.
• Experience not required.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, three days per week (Mon, Thu, Fri).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in MRI.
• Prepare patient and equipment for procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation including weekends.

Position Details

:

• Sign-On Bonus $5,000 (for eligible applicants)

Alton Memorial Hospital

has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Twin Rivers MRI is located within Alton Memorial Hospital. Twin Rivers has some of the newest technology available today, and is one of three in the St. Louis and IL metro region to house a 3.0 Tesla MRI unit. This MRI unit is a powerful imaging system

Preferred Qualifications

Role PurposePerforms diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Responsibilities

Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
